October 28, 7:00 P.M. Dinner: An Afro-Futurist Dinner with Keem Hughley of Bronze
October 28, 2023 07:00 PM
A Storytelling Dinner of Black History, Science Fiction, and Liberation Told Through Food
25 11th Ave, New York, NY 10011, USA
Keem Hughley, the visionary behind Bronze in Washington, D.C, invites you to embark on a culinary journey inspired by Afro-futurism. At Bronze, fantasy and gastronomy meet and intersect with the culture of the African Diaspora. The menu tells the 700-year-old story of Alonzo Bronze, who traveled freely around the globe, searching for new cultures to learn from and share with. Eventually, the people of Bronze settled on a lush and bountiful island in the modern-day Caribbean where they dined on boards of Hamachi crudo and towers of torched oysters lathered with flying fish roe.
Hughley is bringing Bronze to Platform for an evening of his inspired dishes paired with global wine selections and the vibrant narrative of his concept.
