Best Chef: Texas nominees for John Russ (Clementine) and Nicola Blaque (the Jerk Shack and Mi Roti) are teaming up with James Beard Award semifinalist pastry chef Sofia Tejeda (Hotel Emma) for an evening that celebrates the culinary diversity of San Antonio. The dinner will highlight chef Russ’s approach to global cuisine combined with chef Blaque’s symphony of Caribbean flavors and chef Tejeda’s decadent vision for dessert. The evening is topped off with beverage pairings from Marcus Baskerville’s Weathered Souls Brewing Co., a James Beard Award Outstanding Bar semifinalist, and Jennifer Beckmann’s Re:Rooted 210 Urban Winery. Guests will be left with a taste of San Antonio they won’t soon forget.

Tickets to events held at Platform at Pier 57 by the James Beard Foundation cover the cost of food, education and a unique dining experience. Meals are prepared by culinary masters from all regions of the United States and around the world.
