Join acclaimed baker and cookbook author Jessie Sheehan for a festive and informative holiday bake-and-take pie class. This hands-on class will guide you through the process of making Jessie’s “Easy Peasy” melted butter pie dough, a game-changer for your pie-making endeavors.
Jessie will also demonstrate how to make two delicious holiday pies: apple–cranberry and pecan–chocolate Bourbon. You’ll learn professional tips for baking pies to perfection, including how to prevent common mistakes and achieve the ideal texture and flavor. Guests will take home a perfectly baked pie they’ve created, and everyone will have the chance to indulge in pie and wine before the evening comes to a close.

About Jessie Sheehan:
Jessie Sheehan is a celebrated cookbook author, recipe developer, and baker; and hosts the number one baking podcast in the US that is frequently in Apple’s Top Charts, She’s My Cherry Pie for the Cherry Bombe Podcast Network. She is the self-proclaimed queen of “easy-peasy baking;” and has contributed recipes and writing to the New York Times, The Washington Post, Epicurious, Food52, Bon Appétit, and more. Her third cookbook, Snackable Bakes: 100 Easy-Peasy Recipes for Exceptionally Scrumptious Sweets and Treats was named one of the best cookbooks of 2022 by the New York Times. Tickets to events held at Platform at Pier 57 by the James Beard Foundation cover the cost of food, education and a unique dining experience. Meals are prepared by culinary masters from all regions of the United States and around the world. Unless otherwise stated, alcoholic beverages are provided on a complimentary basis and are not included in the ticket price.

All reservations are non-refundable and must be made in advance. Should the event be cancelled due to any unforeseen circumstances, including COVID-19, JBF will offer a range of options, including ticket exchanges, the option to donate tickets, or a full refund.
