THIS MONTH AT PLATFORM

Platform's February culinary series offers an extraordinary journey through diverse food landscapes, celebrating innovation, heritage, and cultural storytelling through immersive dining experiences. This month's lineup not only showcases an extraordinary collection of James Beard Award-winning and emerging culinary talents but also pays special tribute to Black History Month, honoring the profound contributions of Black chefs and culinary innovators to American gastronomy.

From the groundbreaking documentary "Finding Edna Lewis" to Chef Ashleigh Shanti's profound exploration of Black Appalachian culinary history, each event promises to transport guests beyond mere dining into a rich narrative of cultural connection. A particularly poignant highlight is the February 27th dinner memorializing Malinda Russell, the first known African American cookbook author, where Chef Shanti will trace the roots of African American cooking through reinterpreted historical recipes.

Guests can immerse themselves in experiences ranging from Chef Osei Blackett's vibrant Trinidadian cuisine to an artisan bagel-making class, multi-course dinners championing sustainability, and events that challenge traditional culinary boundaries. Each meticulously curated event not only offers exceptional cuisine but also tells a deeper story of cultural heritage, personal journey, and culinary evolution.
