February 18, 2025 06:00 PM
Explore the wide range of craft sake flavors with premium cheeses
25 11th Ave, New York, NY 10011, USA
While it might sound unconventional, the folks at Brooklyn Kura (New York City’s first craft sake brewery) invite you to put down that glass of wine and experience the magic of pairing sake with cheese. Led by certified sake sommelier Timothy Sullivan, founder of urbansake.com and recipient of the title of "Sake Samurai" by the Japan Sake Brewers Association, guests will be guided through a tasting of both Japanese and American craft sakes that highlight and compliment the flavors of cheese varietals from around the world. This exploration will cover sake and cheese terroir and production styles, as well as an introduction to exciting and unexpected flavor and texture combinations.
